The aim of the LIFE-NanoExplore project is to develop and demonstrate the feasibility of an integrated approach to conduct biomonitoring studies, characterize exposure levels and elucidate possible health effects derived from exposure to engineered nanomaterials (ENM) in indoor workplaces and urban areas.
Its goal will be achieved through the creation-construction of a device for the measurement of nanoparticles in the atmosphere and the implementation of a biomarker measurement program, in order to determine the possible effects on human health from exposure to nanoparticles. The total budget for N.E.C.C.A. amounts to € 49.190,00 euros, of which €19,676 are national funds.
