Five Belgian sheepdogs join N.E.C.C.A’s ranks for the creation of Anti-poison dog units in Natura 2000 protected sites

Niko, Yackson, Jago, Arrow and Doc are N.E.C.C.A.’s new elite staff members. Born last May in Huelma Spain, they are already undergoing intense training in the detection of poisoned baits at a specialized facility. The five Belgian sheepdogs combine endurance, speed, intelligence and an extraordinary sense of smell and hearing.

Their arrival in Greece is scheduled for spring of 2022, upon which they will get acquainted with their handlers (also N.E.C.C.A. personnel) and commence training before they are deployed for operations in Natura 2000 sites.
