N.E.C.C.A. visits the Management Bodies of Rodopi Mountain Range National Park and Dadia-Lefkimi-Soufli Forest National Park

On 27-28 September 2021, N.E.C.C.A. Director General, Mr. Ioannis Mitsopoulos, visited the Management Bodies of Rodopi Mountain National Park and Dadia- Lefkimi-Soufli forest National Park. During the conversation that ensued, the Director discussed the imminent MB incorporation with N.E.C.C.A. and the scheduled actions for improved management and monitoring of protected areas. Individual administrative and management problems faced by the Management Bodies were also mentioned, as were proposals for their solution. Afterwards, Mr. Mitsopoulos was guided along the straits of the Nestos River, near the borders of the Rodopi Mountains National Park and visited the Birds of Prey observatory of Dadia-Lefkimi-Soufli Forest National Park where he was informed on the rare flora, fauna and rich biodiversity of the area.
