Intended use of the website:  The website, its features and its Content (as defined below) are for personal and non-commercial use only.  You may not use or otherwise exploit the Website and/or any Content in connection with any business or commercial undertaking (whether or not for profit).



The website “www.necca.gov.gr” (the “Website”) from which you are accessing these Terms is created, maintained owned and operated by the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA) is a Legal Entity of Private Law supervised by the Ministry of Environment and Energy (referred to below as “NECCA”, “our”, “we”, “Agency”), with registered address at 207, Mesogeion Avenue, Athens 11525.


These Terms constitute the overall agreement between you and NECCA as far as it concerns your use of the website


The use of the Website by the visitor is subject to these Terms of Use, as they apply at any time and constitute the agreement between NECCA and each person who visits the Website regarding its use. Accessing and using the Website in any way (including the simple navigation on it), indicates the unconditional acceptance by the user of the Terms of Use, as they apply at any time.


By visiting the website, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms and all other operating rules, policies and procedures that we may publish from time to time on the Website.


  1. Amendment of the Terms

NECCA reserves the right to modify the Terms of Use and any other rule that governs the use of the Website at its sole discretion, notifying each time each modification with a relevant announcement on the home page of the Website. The Terms of Use will indicate the last date of their update.


The continued use of the Website by the user after such announcement constitutes acceptance of these changes.

NECCA’s Website is a source of information for environmentalists and anyone who has an interest in the environment. In particular, it provides information on anything that concerns the biodiversity.


Further, in our Website we provide information


-that concern the activities of the Agency;

-on the programs that are ran by the Agency;

-on the announcements relating to programs that are ran by the Agency

-on the Climate Change Observatory

In this website, we make available content, including (but not limited to) information, texts, photos, pictures and other images and videos, trademarks and logos (together referred to as “Content”). We own all Content made available through the website or we have the license, by the copyright owner, to present it. The Content is subject to copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights and laws.   1. NECCA’s liability regarding the content 

The Website is used “as is”, subject to amendments by NECCA, without the possibility of amendments or other interventions by the user.


NECCA makes every effort to make the use of the Website secure and to provide complete and up-to-date information through it. In any case, users acknowledge and accept that given the technical needs of the internet, NECCA may not be able to immediately update all the content and security of its sub-websites and services.


NECCA does not guarantee that the Website will be error free or compatible with any particular hardware or software. It is expressly stated that the use of this Website for advertising or for offers by the user is prohibited.


The use of any element of the content other than that provided by these terms is strictly prohibited, without the written permission of the Agency. In the event of a breach of the terms of use, the Agency will make full use of the legal remedies provided to it, including criminal prosecution.

This website is accessible from all over the world. This, however, does not mean that NECCA offers or intends to offer its services in other countries than Greece.


NECCA is subject to Greek law. Subject to these Terms, we are not responsible for the content of the website and we assume no liability whatsoever as to whether the website, the content and the services referred to therein are legal in countries outside Greece. If a user accesses the website from a website outside Greece, the user is solely responsible for compliance with local law.

You may access, from our website, other websites (e.g., facebook, instagram) that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the policies and practices of other companies. In every case of violation of these Terms, users will be required to pay compensation for any positive and / or negative damage of NECCA. The non-exercise by NECCA of its rights deriving from these Terms does not imply its waiver of these rights. NECCA expressly reserves the right to supervise the application of these rules at its sole discretion.


  1. Governing Law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Use and any amendment thereof shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Greek law and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens, Greece. Provided that, if you are a consumer with your habitual residence in a country within the EU, nothing in these Terms will prejudice the rights that you may have under the mandatory provisions of the laws of such country, including your right to submit a complaint to the EU Online Dispute Resolution (“ODR”) platform.


All rights and remedies under the Terms of Use are cumulative and do not exclude other rights and remedies provided by law or other agreement.
