The flagship project «Post-fire biodiversity and biotic natural capital recovery: Framework development in the case of Evia (Greece)» is funded through EU’s Technical Support Instrument under Directorate-General for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM). The overall aim of the project is to support the Greek State and in particular Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA) – an independent legal entity operating under the supervision of the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEEN), in the design of a Hub that will monitor the post-fire impacts and recovery of biodiversity and natural capital and halt their potential loss over Greece’s terrestrial ecosystems affected by wildfires, as in the case of the Evia island during August 2021.
